Rachel Hardy is a Canadian composer, vocalist, and music supervisor specializing in music for video games, film, and television.

Rachel Hardy is a Canadian composer, vocalist, and music designer / supervisor currently based in Calgary, AB.

Most recently, she co-composed the soundtrack for Clockwork Labs’ upcoming MMORPG BitCraft alongside Grammy-nominated and two-time BAFTA-winning composer Austin Wintory. The score was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England.

From early 2022 to 2024, Rachel worked as a Music Supervisor at Hidden Path Entertainment on the development of an unannounced open-world RPG in the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. There, her responsibilities included composition and production of original music, design and implementation of music systems, and creative direction for external composers and talent.

She has also worked on upcoming video game projects developed/published by companies such as Tencent, Real Game Machine, NatGames, Nexon, Indago VR, Hawkward Studios Inc, No Cartridge Inc, and Triune Games. Over the past 5 years, Rachel has composed the scores or contributed vocals for various documentaries / docu-videos, podcasts, events, sample libraries, TV broadcasts, albums, and short films. She has also earned a large following of over 50 million views on YouTube for her covers of popular songs from video games, films, and TV shows.

Her passion for composing became known to the public in 2020 when she was named one of the runners up in Spitfire Audio and HBO’s Westworld Scoring Competition, which was judged by J.J. Abrams, Ramin Djawadi, Jonathan Nolan, and Lisa Joy.

In 2019, Rachel received a career development grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts to intern at Henry Jackman’s Sacred Tiger Music, a film music studio that operates out of Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions in Santa Monica, CA. During her time there, she had the opportunity to learn directly from top names in the industry.

Additionally, Rachel was a participant at the Hollywood Music Workshop in 2018, receiving training from renowned composer and orchestrator Conrad Pope and Grammy-winning arranger and composer Nan Schwartz.

Rachel holds a B.A. in Music from the University of Calgary as well as a Professional Certificate in Composition for Film and Television from Berklee College of Music.
